"KAM," born Kamela Adams, is one of the next best things to enter into the contemporary gospel arena with her melodious sounds, legendary runs and inspiring lyrics. At the tender age of 5, KAM was lead vocalist for the Atlanta Christian Youth Seminar Choir under the direction of Wilbert Lemons. Singing being no stranger to her, she has been encouraged her entire musical life by singers like Patti LaBelle, Shirley Caesar, and Vanessa Bell Armstrong to name a few. You may have seen or heard her on stage with various plays such as "Looking For Love In All The Wrong Places," "All Men Can't Be Dogs," "AMEN," "A House Don't Make A Home," and "Cold Busted."
Kam's repertoire includes working with artists such as, Derrick Milan and The Crew; recording four songs on his album entitled "Help Me," singing back up for the 2002 Gospel Heritage Live Recording for such artists as Lacresia Campbell, Kim Burrell, Bishop Paul S. Morton, Sr., and Beverly Crawford. In addition, she was an artist for the Cascade Family and Friends Day hosted by Larry Young of radio station Praise 1040AM, Special Guest Soloist for the 2003 Shirley Caesar Conference in Raleigh, NC and Twinkie Clark concert along with The Anointed Pace Sisters. In 2004, Kam was nominated best female vocalist for the Atlanta, GA finalist of Praise Discovery. Kam was selected one of ten of Vickie Winans Rising Star 2005 Talent Search quarter final.
Kam's television appearances include the Bobby Hurd Show, Channel TV57 with Traci Wells, TBN with Candi Staton, and Babbies House with Babbie Mason. You may have seen her on Bobby Jones Gospel Videos with Lacresia Campbell "Magnify." Kam was nominee for the 2004 Atlanta Gospel Choice Awards for "Best Female Vocalist." Clayton State University Apollo Night 2005 first place winner.
Being humble in character, she knows what God has called her to do in ministry. Kam continues her desire to spread God's word through song. Kam's first solo project entitled "I Am That I Am" was produced by the talented legend Edsel Robinson. What more can one ask of an artist but to share her gifts, talents, and her gems with the world; to encourage, inspire and most of all to minister through the beautiful art form called music.
The message is very clear...........
With God on her side, talent in her blood, she can't help but be anointed!
